Memoria de luz - Premio a la trayectoria, Asociación Mexicana de Cinematografía

This project was commissioned by the Mexican Society of Cinematographers (AMC) to design the trophy for their Lifetime Achievement Award. The concept focused on creating an object that invites intimate interaction, revealing the recipient’s name only when viewed through its interior—an idea inspired by camera obscuras and kaleidoscopes.

The trophy is made of resin mixed with volcanic rock dust, marble dust, and grains of salt, giving it a distinctive material quality. Its form is a three-dimensional extrusion of the AMC logo, itself derived from a Mayan glyph representing “day.”

From the start, the intention was to create a trophy that feels like a sculptural art piece—something the recipient would genuinely want to keep and display in their home.
